Good place to visit with family. Has guided tours and reenactments. Shows Brisbane and Qlds history since white settlement.

Very interesting site and something I was unaware of, even after living in Brisbane for 15 years. Definitely worth a visit.

Many clubs use the facilities for events so you never know what else you might see.

Well run place with friendly and informative staff who can give you some background and history to the place. Should you choose to you can also just roam around on your own and check out the fort and guns. It's a great little hidden gem with some interest history. If you go on the right weekends you can also see (and hear) them firing the guns. Great fun for families and a good way to connect with some local military history. Recommended!

My partner & I went last Sunday, there would have been 50 people there in the group of all ages. Every person was astounded that we have this hidden secrete place in our city. The gentlemen that guided us was so knowledgeable about the site & all it's history. This place is part of us & our history, a definite must see. Will be back to see another tour soon.

Canons are fired so people sensitive to noise need to be aware.
